Yerevan has lots of parks and gardens where you can go for a picnic. The favorite place of Armenian youth is the Swan Lake. In the surroundings of the lake are beautiful trees.There are some benches but everyone prefers sitting on the ground, enjoying the Swan Lake's look. Here you will see lots people just sitting on the grass, chatting and eating something. If you are in a center you can come here with your friends, buy something tasty from a store and relax.
The other perfect place for a picnic is the Yerevan Botanical Garden. Here you can escape from the crowded and noisy Yerevan enjoying time with your friends. The all-around green trees, fresh air will give you a perfect rest. It is a very quiet and peaceful place, besides that, you will have the opportunity to see one of the natural heritages of Yerevan.
A little bit away from the center, is the Tumanyan's Park; a very beautiful and nice park in Yerevan. In Tumanyan's Park you can find a place only for kids, it has also two fields one for basketball, the other is for football. So, here you can play basketball or football, just make sure you brought your sports shoes. If you are with your dog, there is a certain place for your dog too; there is a lot of dogs playing with each other. The park has lots of trees, so the air is fresh and clear.
So escape from the traditional restaurants and cafes, do something different and you will remember it forever.
