Kotayk
Akna Lake sits high on the Geghama plateau, an alpine lake reached via a demanding 8-hour hike across largely open, volcanic terrain. Free to hike and only feasible June through September, it's a quieter alternative to the Azhdahak summit trek for visitors still wanting a serious day in the Geghama highlands.
