Aragatsotn
Built in 2005 to mark 1,600 years since the invention of the Armenian alphabet, this open-air monument sets 39 large carved-stone letters into the hillside near Artashavan, each one a piece of sculpture in its own right. A 45-minute visit is enough to walk among them and take in the views over the valley, and it's free and open year-round — an easy, symbolic stop for anyone interested in Armenia's language and identity.
