Tsitsernakaberd, on a hilltop overlooking the city, holds both the memorial and museum dedicated to the 1915 Armenian Genocide. A 90-minute visit is free and available year-round, and remains one of the most significant and solemn sites in Armenia for understanding the country's modern history.
