Armavir
The banks of the Metsamor (Sevjur) river draw storks, herons and migratory birds passing through the Ararat plain, making a 2-hour birdwatching walk here a rewarding, free activity. Best done April through June during peak migration, it pairs well with a visit to the nearby Metsamor archaeological site.
