The Ayrudzi riding club in Ashtarak leads 2-hour horseback rides through the foothills below Aragats, a gentle introduction to the region's landscape for riders of most experience levels. Trips run May through October and start from 12,000 AMD, taking in orchards, open fields and views up toward the mountain — a relaxed alternative to the area's hiking trails.
