Lake Kari sits at 3,200 m in a bowl below Aragats's summits, fed by glacial meltwater that keeps it a startling turquoise-blue through the short highland summer. A gentle two-hour loop traces the shoreline, giving you close-up views of the water against a backdrop of volcanic peaks without the effort of a full summit attempt. It's an easy, free outing best done June to September and works well paired with the nearby dragon-stone megaliths or as a rest stop before or after the summit climbs.
