Lori
Lori Berd was the capital of the medieval Tashir-Dzoraget kingdom in the 11th century, and its ruins sit dramatically on the edge of a gorge, with a 90-minute walk covering both the fortress and the surrounding cliff-top scenery. Costing 1,300 AMD and best done April through October, it's a significant historical site combined with some of Lori's best gorge views.
