Mount Azhdahak, at 3,597 meters, is the highest peak in the Geghama range and holds a crater lake at its summit, making the demanding 10-hour round-trip hike a reward in both altitude and scenery. Free to hike and only feasible June through September when the route is clear of snow, it's one of the more serious treks available in the region.
