Byurakan Astrophysical Observatory has been one of the Soviet Union's most important astronomical research centers since 1946, and it now runs public stargazing sessions where visitors look through its historic telescopes. The 2-hour session costs from 5,000 AMD and runs year-round, though clear winter nights often give the sharpest views — a rare chance to combine Armenia's dark, high-altitude skies with real scientific history.
