Gegharkunik
Lake Sevan's shoreline holds some of the only proper beaches in landlocked Armenia, and a couple of hours spent swimming and sunbathing here is the classic summer escape from Yerevan's heat. Free to use and best from June to September when the high-altitude water finally warms up, it's the anchor activity around which most of Sevan's other water sports are built.
